Leslie’s design process invariably begins with the client’s vision. A comprehensive intake with new clients establishes goals, visions, and budget for the proposed project. Following an initial collaboration, our team creates an exclusive detailed design  Our individualized approach assures a unique design, customized to the personality and objectives of each client. Leslie has had the distinct pleasure of working with some of the top commercial general contractors in the tri-state area. In regions where we are working for the first time, we work closely with our clients, identifying qualified, local, general contractors which best fit each specific client or a particular project.

Leslie Abner founded LA studio 23 years ago. Born and raised in New Jersey, Leslie graduated from Cornell University and pursued Interior Design at The New York School of Interior Design Graduate School. Prior to establishing LS Interiors in 1999, Leslie spent several years working for major fashion houses and interior design studios. Throughout her design beginnings, she learned the value of a collaborative approach with clients, engineers, and contractors ensuring extraordinary results. Her experience designing and managing projects ranges from small scale residential to large offices. Leslie translates her artistic sensibility into beautifully functional spaces. The unique benefit of a fashion design education coupled with valuable industry experience provides a specialized approach stemming from an extensive knowledge of color, pattern, and texture. A strong proponent of the arts, Leslie has volunteered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition, she has supported various philanthropic organizations in the areas of education, animal rights and women’s equality.
