Personal Bio
I concentrate my practice in commercial real estate and business law. I represent major commercial landlords, real estate developers and high net worth investors in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial properties, including industrial, mixed-use, retail, office and multi-family. My experience includes financing, with a focus on structuring transactions in a manner that optimizes benefits and reduces exposure to the principals, and the negotiation of requisite agreements with respect to construction and development. Through my practice in commercial real estate, I also represent tenants in their leasing of commercial properties and I handle all agreements related to the particular commercial real estate transaction concerning the party I represent. Often this includes listing agreements, access agreements, contractor agreements, management agreements and service contracts. Through my work, I am often brought in to advise businesses and coordinate legal teams needed to support clients in adjacent work. This includes serving as counsel to sole proprietors, small businesses and larger corporations in connection with entity formations, shareholder agreements, operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, membership transfers, franchise agreements, employment agreements, asset purchases and sales, stock purchases and sales, business financing, equipment financing and business dissolutions. Given the complexity and differing needs of clients, I start each client relationship by collaborating to understand their goals and developing a strategy to make sure they have the proper resources included in the discussions and representation. If I am not the best resource or additional resources are appropriate, I work to find those resources and match the client with the team best-suited to serve them.
