Personal Bio
Cynthia (Cindy) Myer is the CEO of Ridgewood Moving Services (RMS), based in Mahwah NJ.  Under her leadership, RMS has grown from a boutique business founded in 1966 to an award-winning, full service relocation, inventory management and custom storage firm serving residential, corporate and commercial clients. Cindy transitioned from RMS silent partner to CEO in 2005 upon the sudden death of her husband, who had been running the boutique operation for 18 years.  She revitalized the company and set it on a course of sustained growth and profitability by improving and formalizing company policies and procedures, expanding the firms service roster, investing in staff development and launching a new marketing campaign.  With Cindy at the helm, Ridgewood Moving has become certified as a Women's Business Enterprise and strategically aligned the company with Wheaton-Worldwide/Bekins Van line. Widely respected for her business acumen, Cindy was named among the 2014 NJ Biz Best Fifty Women in Business, CIANJ Woman of Influence, The Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and was named Mahwah Regional Chambers Citizen of the Year.  She is a sought after speaker and has been featured in numerous periodicals, including the Record, More Magazine and Cable programs. A committed philanthropist dedicated to community service, Cindy launched the Move for Success Program by partnering with Bergen Community College and requesting community donations of professionally cry cleaned career clothing for student .  Other college and universities are now participating.  She actively participates in the Center for Hope and Safety Board, sponsors an annual toy drive/sale at the Paterson Girls/Boys club, actively participates in Move for Hunger; a nonprofit that works with the moving industry to pick up unwanted non-perishable food and deliver it to the local food bank.  RMS donates the services and materials to numerous shelters, hospitals and charitable organizations throughout Bergen County.  Habitat for humanity and Making it home work in sync with Cindy and RMS for unwanted furniture items. Raised in Ridgewood, NJ, Cindy graduated from University of Bridgeport with a degree in Fashion Merchandising/Business.  Cindy's pride nad joy are her two daughters; Melissa and Samantha.
